As a credit in place of the English proficiency test, where the degree course requires one, or as an entry requirement.
To gain points in a public competition and to strengthen your CV.
By teachers seeking access to CLIL courses, as provided for by the Ministry of Education departmental decree of 23.06.2022.

University recognition
Trinity College London certifications are recognised by universities, companies and government institutions in Italy and worldwide. At university they can be accepted as an entry requirement or as credits in place of the English proficiency test, where the degree course requires one.
The four-skill Trinity ISE certifications (Speaking & Listening, Reading & Writing) are the ones most widely recognised by Italian universities. Several degree courses also recognise the two-skill GESE certifications (Speaking & Listening).
Trinity ISE certifications are also suitable for students choosing to study abroad, as they are widely recognised by universities in the United Kingdom.
Heidi Hird is a teacher recognised with the Trinity College London Teacher Badge, and for 2025–2026 the school received the Trinity Digital Transformation Badge.
